Ghosts in the Garage

Your parents got in another fight

There's always room in my bed

For you to stay the night

And whatever mood you need I can provide

I'm not the greatest cook but for you I could try

If you ever wanna get away

I think I know the perfect place

And I don't mind the time we take

We'll greet the birds as they welcome in the day

(Pre-chorus)

Flickering streetlights guide our way home

I'll keep on reminding you you're not alone

Just until it sticks and you believe me

And we'll keep the lights on until you're ready

(Chorus)

We can hang out with the ghosts in the garage

And discuss your parents' marriage and stuff

We can talk about the fairies in the forest

And those who have come before us

And gossip until you've had enough

We'll find the empty rooms in museums and let go of all your demons as we name all the people in the paintings

We'll go down all the side roads with graffiti

And you'll just have to believe me

I'll listen to what you say without complaining

The last train leaves at twenty to

Just say the word I'll stay with you

We'll grab a bite to eat

There's no one else left in the whole town

Time isn't real

Ignore the clocks

The sun slips down

(Pre-chorus)

(Chorus)

(Pre-chorus and chorus play over each other)
