Apocalypse Radio

It's been a year now since the sky turned colours that the sky ought not to be

A year now since the fall of acid rain that was so thick we couldn't see

Eee

It feels like yesterday, my my

Hard to believe how time can fly

(Chorus)
So if anybody's listening tell me now

Before I shut my system down

Got pretty used to talking to myself but no one tells you how

A lack of interaction

Leaves a person longing for replies

So signal back, if you know how,

And quick, before this transmission dies

It's pretty lucky that a radio host like me got trapped inside a studio

And in these dire times I can keep my listeners happy with my show

Ohoh

I'd love some fanmail or some calls

Listener engagement has really taken a fall

(Chorus)

(Bridge)

I don't mind the sound of my own voice

But then I haven't had much choice

But if I'm someone's beacon then,

I guess I'll keep on speaking

(Outro)

I pray for a blinking on the dash,

A sign that someone's talking back

And if you're thinking of me

Then this hasn't been for nothing
